The Havoc Dominate in Rowdy Home Opener

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Huntsville Havoc defeated the Pensacola Ice Flyers 5-1 in a rowdy home opener.

Similar to their previous matchup with the Ice Flyers, it was a very physical and chippy game. There were fights before goals were even scored for both teams. Multiple players between both squads were hit with misconduct penalties early on. However, the Havoc were the first to cash in on a goal right before the end of the first with the help of defenseman Jeremy Gervais.

Pensacola scored first in the second period, but the Havoc quickly took control. Robbie Fisher, Noah Finstrom, and Buster Larsson all found the net during the period, showcasing the team’s offensive prowess. Additionally, the Havoc excelled defensively, with goalie Mike Robinson making 10 saves in the period.

The Havoc continued their well-balanced attack in the final period, with Robinson preventing 11 goals and left-wing Giovanni Procopio scoring with seven minutes left to put the icing on the cake in a packed and rowdy home opener.

The Huntsville Havoc are 3-0 and look to take on the Evansville Thunderbolts in Indiana on October 26th at 7:05 CDT.
