Schiavo to Return for 2020 Season

Huntsville Havoc forward John Schiavo will be returning to Huntsville this coming season, head coach Glenn Detulleo announced Thursday.

Schiavo will be entering his sixth year as a pro, playing for 11 teams spanning three leagues (FPHL, SPHL, ECHL). This will be his third stint with the Havoc, playing in 11 games (1 goal, 6 assists) in 2016-17, 42 games (10 goals, 13 assists) in 2018-19, and 27 games (11 goals, 14 assists) in 2019-20.

Schiavo broke out in his 2017-18 season, tallying 14 goals and 17 assists through 29 games for the Fayetteville Marksmen before being called up to the ECHL’s Kansas City Mavericks where he added three goals and three assists in 20 games.

Schiavo was on track to match those 2017-18 marks this season before the COVID-19 induced shutdown.
