HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Huntsville Havoc have announced the signing of forward Brayden Stannard, bringing the 23-year-old to Huntsville after two seasons with the Knoxville Ice Bears.
A native of Bark River, Michigan, Stannard joins the Havoc with 65 games of SPHL experience under his belt. The 6-foot-3 forward spent the past two seasons in Knoxville, where he recorded 29 points (12 goals, 17 assists) in 65 career games.
Stannard’s most recent season saw him record 14 points (6 goals, 8 assists) in 29 games with the Ice Bears. He also made an 8-game appearance with the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL) during the 2025-26 campaign.
The forward made his SPHL debut with Knoxville during the 2024-25 season, posting 15 points (6 goals, 9 assists) in 36 games.
Stannard’s familiarity with the SPHL, and specifically the Havoc, gives him an opportunity to step into Huntsville already knowing the league and its style of play. He has faced the Havoc numerous times throughout his two seasons in Knoxville, including scoring in a 4-3 overtime loss in Huntsville on Thanksgiving in 2025.
Before turning pro, Stannard developed through several junior leagues, including the NAHL and USHL. He spent two seasons with the Maryland Black Bears in the NAHL, totaling 62 points (19 goals, 43 assists) in 90 career games, including 9 points in 9 playoff games during the 2022-23 season.
Stannard now heads down to Huntsville to begin the next chapter of his professional career.
