Defenseman Derek Perl Returns to Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE – Former championship defenseman Derek Perl returns to the Huntsville Havoc after a season in France, head coach Glenn Detulleo announced Tuesday.

Perl played in 26 games for Cergy of the France2 League, scoring 5 times and assisting on 13 goals. He also recorded a +/- of +17.

In his previous two-year stint with the Havoc, Perl tallied 54 points on 14 goals and 40 assists over 105 games, helping the Havoc win the President’s Cup in each season.

He joins a returning d-corps of Nolan Kaiser, Alec Brandrup, and Pat Condon. Other players already inked to return include forwards Baxter Kanter, John Schiavo, Rob Darrar, Tyler Piacentini, and Sy Nutkevitch, and goalie Max Milosek will also be back between the pipes when the coming season commences.
