Charlie Risk Joins Havoc

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Huntsville Havoc are excited to announce the signing of defenseman Charlie Risk.

Risk, 25, is a 5’9” defenseman from Medicine Hat, Alberta. He began his professional career with Mont-Blanc in France, where he appeared in 23 games and recorded 11 points (1 G, 10 A). With Mont-Blanc, Risk played with newly signed F Zach Tyson.

Prior to his time in France, Risk played four years at Albertus Magnus College (NCAA DIII), where he tallied 12 goals and 40 assists over 75 games.

“We are looking for Risk to come in and provide some offense from the backend for us,” said Head Coach Stuart Stefan. “He is a good skater and moves the puck well.”

Additionally, defenseman Matt Doran has retired from professional hockey after accepting a full-time job back home. We wish Matt nothing but the best in his new chapter in life!
